Innovation is always exciting and the release of BuzzBoard 3.0 is one of the most exciting moments in the history of our company; I’d like to personally share with you the story of why BuzzBoard 3.0 is billed as our most user-driven version yet.
We originally created BuzzBoard to help sales reps get the full attention of their prospects by engaging them with unprecedented levels of knowledge about their businesses, markets and competitive positioning. We knew this would enable them to sell what their customers truly needed, and we knew that this would, in turn, result in greater trust, leading to more sales.
We had another driver too. We knew that sales had increasingly become mired in admin – and we knew that nothing drained the energy of sales reps more than admin. Yes it has to be done, but we thought that in this day and age it should be easier and less time consuming – much less time consuming. Anytime you have to use several different tools to do one job, you’re losing time you’ll never get back. We have a soft spot for sales and what we really wanted was to put the thrill back into selling.
Since we launched BuzzBoard two years ago, we’ve seen the number of sales successes on our watch increase; we’ve seen our users make more and better deals. We get different reports on the ROI of BuzzBoard – for some customers the return is 30x, for others it goes as high as 70x. Either way, it has exceeded our expectations.
With 80+ engineers and data scientists on our team, we were able to measure all the taps and clicks over the last two years to find the patterns that led to success. We learned how many taps were needed to do something. We learned about the data that became intelligence – and also about the data that made no sense. Above all, we learned that in the world of sales, not everything is linear. BuzzBoard is about behavior.
